[The anthology featured previously unpublished material by Ray Bradbury, Richard Matheson, William F. Nolan, George Clayton Johnson, Dan O’Bannon, Earl Hamner, Jr., Norman Corwin, John Shirley, and many younger authors, with a foreword by S. T. Joshi. The release was celebrated by a huge signing event in Glendale, CA at the now defunct Mystery and Imagination Bookstore where a nearly 90-year-old Bradbury and nearly 100-year-old Corwin (video here) greeted hundreds of fans who waited hours to get their copies signed by the fourteen authors in attendance. Winner, 2010 Book and Jacket Design from the Pacific Printing Industries Association (PIA) for Cycatrix Press; Cody Goodfellow’s story “At the Riding School” was picked as the main selection for The Best Horror of the Year: Volume Three, edited by Ellen Datlow, who also bestowed Honorable Mentions to several others from the volume.

He has blurbed numerous works as well and ghostwritten several pieces of fiction in collaboration with other well-known authors, some of which went on to be nominated for awards within the industry.
Brock served multiple terms as the Election Committee Organizer for the Horror Writers Association (HWA) where he and his wife served as Jury Members (and Brock as Jury Chair) for several years; they have also performed Event Coordination, Consultation, and Convention Sponsorship for numerous special events.
Brock has been an approachable freelance and organizational mentor to dozens of aspiring artists, designers, writers, and editors; several of Brock’s mentees have gone on to be published regularly, including in many “Year’s Best” anthologies, as well as securing nominations and wins for the HWA Bram Stoker Award, World Fantasy Award, SFWA Nebula Award, British Fantasy Award, Locus Award, and others. An experienced instructor, speaker, panelist, and lively reader, Brock has led workshops and conducted classes for others at many film festivals, as well as science fiction, fantasy, and horror conventions—both domestically and internationally—in addition to college special appearances, gallery showings, signings, and film screenings. His mentees and students have obtained agents, book and film deals, and also been accepted into prestigious writing programs in the past (such as Clarion West) due to his guidance, advice, and expertise. In addition, he is the sole administrator of the Estate of William F. Nolan.
